I’m a tall British ex-pat who lives in Norway. My wife and I live in Oslo and I work at the International Peace Research Institute, Oslo (PRIO) on arms control and the arms trade, you can find out more about that here.

You can see pictures of our wedding here, and see what music I like here.

I chose the title of this blog partly because it was a prase often used by the late Perry D’Angelis.

welcome to wordpress; your first post: “hello world!”, is that an extraordinary claim?

  2. Kasper – I know its uncool not to delete that one, but I kind of like it. Mostly because it contains encouragements to blog in the comments field.

The best book on alternative therapies ever written!

    Alternative Medicine
    A Mind-Blowing, Magical Mystery Tour

Written in an easy, conversational style and meticulously referenced throughout, A Mind-blowing Magical Mystery Tour is an utterly compelling account of today’s £multi-billion alternative health industry.
Nothing is as it first appears in this extraordinary business. And holism stripped bare is not how you’d imagine it at all.

But if alternative medicine has its flaws, then conventional medicine is responsible for all manner of dangerous treatments.

Just where do I go from here?

Won’t somebody please guide me through the healthcare jungle?

“Dear friends, Steven comes across as the wise, commonsensical ‘everyman’ we all hoped was out there somewhere. I do think we should help him gain the widest possible audience. It has taken him 18 years of research and in my humble opinion is better than anything any of us have written on the subject. I hope you enjoy reading this book as much as I did.”
Professor Michael Baum, Professor Emeritus of Surgery & Visiting Professor of Medical Humanities, UCL

“I have been dedicated to studying, promoting and practicing alternative medicine for 13 years now and I was stopped in my tracks by Steven’s work. If you too are dedicated to searching for the truth and you don’t mind being challenged, this book is for you. To all therapists and health consumers out there, I say read this book and judge for yourself the claims contained in it.”
